Homework assignments are given to students to help enrich their understanding of course content, to help them develop their technique, and / or to help them advance their work between classes. If students are not finished the homework assignment on the due date they are still expected to complete the assignment.

Draw a reproduction of your image to the best of your ability. ( see below for reference )
Please use pencil and pencil crayon to add colour. Play attention to things like texture, proportions, brush strokes etc...

Complete an analysis of the image - refer to the Elements and Principles handout above for guidance.
a) List the name of the piece, the artist's name, the year it was created, the media and the dimensions,
b) Describe the work in as much detail as possible. Imagine that you are describing the image to someone over the phone and you want them to be able to really picture the work in their mind.
c) Explain what elements you can identify in the work ( see handout above ) - give specific and well explained examples
d) Discuss which principles of design have been used in the composition ( see handout above)
